Walters High School junior Clay Graham is a three-sport athlete and a member of the local FFA chapter. Graham said he started in FFA thanks to one of his teachers.
“I have been involved in FFA for three years and my Ag teacher really is the one who got me involved the most,” said Graham.
One of the activities Graham said he really enjoys is working with his animals.
“My favorite thing about being in FFA is that I get to show sheep,” said Graham. “I also am on the sporting clays team, I livestock and land judge.”
When he’s not working with his animals you can usually find Graham playing baseball or working out.
“Baseball is not my only sport. I also powerlift and play football,” said Graham. “The thing I love most about my team and teammates is the brotherhood we have built through the years of playing together.”
Graham said the bus rides are always memorable and he’s looking forward to more trips with his teams next year as a senior. Graham said he plans to attend Oklahoma State University after graduating.
He offers this advice to anyone wanting to join the FFA.
“I would say, 100 percent do it. I truly believe it has made me a better person and opened many opportunities to my future that I would have never had if I wouldn’t have joined FFA,” said Graham.
