Jake Lohman (6-1, Sr.)

ELGIN OWLS

BOYS

Coach: Ryan Green

22-23 Record: 13-14

The Owls are looking to see improvement from their 13-14 record last season. Along with the usual things that come along with a new season, they also have a more difficult schedule. Head coach Ryan Green knows that this season will be a test for his team. “We are moving up to Class 5A,” he said.

“We are going to be in a very tough district. We will be young overall but will also have two returning starters from last season.” One of those returning starters is Jake Lohman (6-1, Sr.). He is a guard with a very high basketball IQ. He is also a good kid on and off the court and will have an impact on the Owl’s season. Brody Morrison (6-0, So.) is another player that will be a key player this season. He also plays guard and is a very good athlete and a versatile player. Taking care of the ball on offense will be Nicholas Meraz (5-9, Jr.). He is a point guard that is a good ball handler and shooter with a high basketball IQ. Other players that will look to contribute this season are Sean Gomez (6-1, Sr.), Donnie Jones (5-8, So.), Josh Adesola (6-1, Jr.), Cordae Richie (5-10, Fr.), John Lohman (5-9, Fr.), Chase Parker (6-3, Jr.), Niqualas Chew (5-11, Sr.), Tres Lorah (6-0, Jr.), Noah Martin (6-0, So.), Zeb Wells (5-11, Sr.), Brayden Mciver (6-0, Jr.), Haggen Bolan (6-1, Sr.), and Lucas Young (6-4, So.).
