Duke’s Celie Hall FFA Spotlight – Presented By Farm Credit of Western OK

Celie Hall is a junior at Duke High School where she is a member of the local FFA chapter as well as a member of the varsity basketball, and softball teams. She first started her FFA journey when she was in the 4-H Club.

“I have been showing animals in FFA and 4-H for 12 years. However, my family has always had cattle and I have been indoctrinated into the business,” Hall said. “What I enjoy most about FFA are the leadership opportunities, the people, the responsibility, and the work ethics that are taught throughout the program. I also enjoy how participating in FFA helps people in the community as well.”

Hall is the current president of the student council at Duke High School. She thrives in a leadership role and enjoys various other opportunities on and off campus.

“I have participated in a mentor program for younger students who are interested in becoming a member of the FFA program,” Hall said. “The advice I would give someone who is thinking about joining FFA would be, just do it! You won’t regret it. Not only will you gather valuable information that will help you in your future endeavors, but you will make memories that will last a lifetime.  FFA builds leaders for the future.”
Hall said she loves being part of the athletic teams at Duke and she loves her teammates.

“What I love most about my team and teammates is that they are very supportive and helpful. They encourage me to shoot for the stars and do my best in all things,” Hall said. “My favorite memory as a student-athlete is beating Lookeba-Sickles so that we could advance to the state tournament in basketball this year. Hands down my favorite memory.”

Her plans after she graduates from Duke High School are to attend college and pursue a degree.

“My plans after graduation are to attend WOSC to complete an associate’s degree in business communication and then to transfer to Colorado State University to complete my education, and pursue my dream to become a psychiatrist,” said Hall.
