Lawton MacArthur Football Spotlight – Caden Tahbonemah – Presented by Traci Green Properties

By: Scott Metz

Football is more than just touchdowns and the final score; for Lawton MacArthur High School’s Caden Tahbonemah, football is life. From weight room to the intense practices before the season starts, his role as Offensive Tackle for his team is vitally important.

Currently a senior at Lawton MacArthur High School, Caden loves everything about football, including the highs and the lows of the sport.

He stated, “Personally, the best thing to me is the grind; I have gone through and overcame many obstacles and injuries so far in my football career and I would not change a single thing.”

Besides football, Caden enjoys playing other sports as well. He states, “While I am not playing football, I love to be on the baseball diamond, and playing basketball. Even wrestling is something I have picked up, and I have enjoyed it greatly.”

Caden started playing the game of football nearly 10 years ago, when he started playing the sport in third grade.

When asked about the person he looks up to the most, Cayden did not hesitate to mention his mother. He said, “My mom has not only been a perfect parent but has been two parents in one for me and my older brother. She has shown both of us how to be proper, respectful gentlemen, while tackling her own challenges in life, and yet still providing more than enough for each of us. With, my mom has inspired me to make a name for myself and my family, Ultimately, I hope to be able to provide for her one day.”

Clearly, the character that Cayden’s mom has instilled in her son has translated into an athlete that has compassion and respect. After high school, Caden plans on to pursing higher education, stating, “I plan on studying Physical Therapy in College as well as playing college football.”
