OFFENSE

The Lawton Wolverines offense will look to spread opponents out and force them to cover the whole field in the running game and passing game. Devarius Hardy (6-2, 175, Sr.) is back at quarterback and is poised to have a big year under center. Tyron Amacker (6-0, 185, Sr.) is a dynamic athlete who is relatively unknown because he missed the first half of last season with an injury. Amacker will end up being a three-year starter who should turn some heads this fall at safety and receiver on offense. Frank Rowe (6-0, 165, Sr.) had a breakout junior year at receiver and defensive back. He has also added more strength and speed to frame that good year as a junior. Sophomores Nate Jones (5-10, 185) and Pene Vaisagote (6-3, 175) are two extremely talented players who each played a ton as a freshman. Look for Jones at running back and Vaisagote at wide receiver. Upfront sophomore Junior Brock (5-10, 245) and senior Jeremiah Martinez return to lead an offensive line that returns all but one starter.

DEFENSE

This multiple set style of defense will aim to be very aggressive and attacking. Andrew Jacobson (6-0, 190, Sr.) returns at middle linebacker to lead a defense that returns seven starters. Joining Jacobson in the linebacker crew will be Zane Kukurich (5-9, 145, Sr.) and Jaylan Fleming (6-1, 185, Sr.). Amacker and Rowe will also be key elements in the backfield as strong safeties. Aiden Hooee (6-2, 255, Jr.) is the big man up front on the defensive line. “We have a talented group of seniors coming back mixed with in a couple sophomores who could grow into elite players,” said head coach Ryan Breeze. “If this group can stay healthy, we have a shot at making a playoff push again.” Breeze is joined by assistant coaches Xavier Johnson, Blake Hollenbeck, John Repp, Brandon Bensen, Dre Jensen, Stacey Hunt, Eddie Shaw.
