9 Questions with Duncan’s Noah McFatridge – Yolanda DeCarlo-Farmers Insurance

By: Hunter Ferguson

Duncan tennis player Noah McFatridge recently completed an interview with VYPE.

VYPE: What are your personal goals for the year?

I want to take home a state title.

VYPE: What is your favorite athletic memory?

My favorite memory is going to state freshman year and getting second as a team.

VYPE: What teammate has left the biggest impression on you and why?

The teammate with the biggest impression on me is Jonah Link because he’s just a good guy on and off the court, a bit goofy but a beast on the court.

VYPE: What is your favorite part of being on this team?

My favorite part of being in this team is the bond we have together and it feels like one big family.

VYPE: Do you participate in any community service projects?

I do not do any permanent service projects but I do help out with various things around certain times if needed, like if a group needs help with something I’ll be there. I love to serve the community.

VYPE: What Clubs or Campus groups are you involved with and why?

I am involved with band because I love music and I play French horn, but can also play trumpet. I am also in student council because I love to serve.

VYPE: What has your sport taught you that you use in your daily life?

I would say tennis helps very well mentally, like keeping calm and patient and a positive attitude no matter what. Italy also helps me adjust in any situation if things take a turn.

VYPE: What is the best advice that anyone has given you?

I don’t really know any great advice specifically but many people like my parents and my grandparents always feed me advice about being the best I can be and I thank them for that.

VYPE: Who inspires you and why?

I would say Novak Djokovic inspires me the most because of his mentality and that we both play tennis. I also would say my family inspires me because of how much they’ve poured into me.

VYPE: Here is your chance to give a shoutout or say thank you to anyone you wish.

I would like to shout out my parents and my grandparents for always helping me in tennis and supporting me. They come first, but I will also like to shout out coach cobble for being a great coach for us and always helping me. My last shoutout is Jonah Link because of his great overall demeanor.
