Comanche’s Brycen Lassley – Presented by Dusty Corp Shelter Insurance

It’s natural for members of the cross country team to run the long-distance races for the track team. That is exactly what Comanche High School junior Brycen Lassley is doing.

“I have done track for six years. I love the competitive aspect of track. I love my coaches and teammates because they continue to push me every year to be my best and are great hype men,” said Lassley.

Running the 3200, 1600, and 800 for Comanche, Lassley said the team is looking good and he is improving his time in the biggest race of them all.

“I am looking forward to seeing the new competition, there has been some great underclassmen that have come up and I can’t wait to see how I rank up against them,” said Lassley. “I think that I will most improve in the 3200, knowing that this is my best event out of the three.”

Lassley also participates in National Honor Society, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, and basketball. His favorite subject is geography, and he is looking into colleges for cross country.

“My favorite subject would be geography, and my favorite teacher would be Jason Miller, he is also my cross country and track coach,” said Lassley. “I have looked into colleges for cross country and track to run at on a scholarship so that I can get a further education.”

The junior said his parents have been a big influence in his life and he appreciates all they do to help him succeed.

“My parents have had the biggest influence on my life with them constantly pushing me to be the best in sports and academics that I can,” said Lassley.
