Q & A with Aunika Black – Altus – Presented by Century 21 Altus Prestige

Aunika Black is a sophomore at Altus High School. She proudly represents her
school among other teams while running cross country and at track meets. Running has
taught her perseverance.
Q: What is your favorite part about being on a team?
A: Being able to rely on my teammates and all our fun times.


Q: Why are you passionate about your sport?
A: Because I like my teammates and coach.


Q: Who is your favorite teacher from any grade and why?
A: Ms. Adler, my biology teacher from 9th grade. I like her because she was always very
nice and supportive of my running career.


Q: Who inspires you and why?
A: My dad inspires me the most because he always helps me with the mental aspects of
running.


Q: What teammate has left the biggest impression on you and why?
A: Elaina has left the biggest impression on me by always encouraging me.


Q: You can pick any place for a summer vacation, where do you go and who do
you take?
A: I would go to Greece with my mom and Elaina.


Q: Is there anyone you want to give a shoutout or say thank you to?
A: I want to say thank you to Coach Reyna for always helping me and encouraging me.


Q: What has been your favorite memory of playing?
A: Traveling on the bus home after every meet.


Q: What is the best advice that anyone has given you?
A: Just put one foot in front of the other.
