Mangum’s Cayden Repp – FFA Spotlight – Presented by Farm Credit of Western Oklahoma

Like many of his peers, Cayden Repp first joined the FFA at the first opportunity in the eighth grade. Now a junior at Mangum High School, Repp is a member of the varsity football and wrestling teams as well.

“I first got involved in FFA in eighth grade. My dad is the one who encouraged me to get into FFA,” said Repp.

With so many options in FFA, Repp knew he wanted to find the right activities for him and showing livestock was one activity he wanted to experience.

“I show goats, I’m involved in livestock judging and I’m a member of the Quiz Bowl team for my chapter,” said Repp. “I enjoy the rides to competitions with my friends.”

Repp believes the FFA is a great program for students to get involved in and it’s something they can do for their entire time in high school.

“I would encourage anyone interested in FFA to do it. It’s probably one of the best school programs you can get involved in. You will make tons of friends and memories that will last a lifetime,” said Repp.

As a member of the football and wrestling teams at Mangum HS, Repp said his teammates and coaches are what make it special.

“A big influence in my life will be my football coach, coach Powers. He has had a big impact on my life since the day I met him. He’s always been there no matter what he’s a big reason why I am who I am today and why I still play football and fell in love with the sport,” said Repp. “Knowing that none of us are going to give up on each other and the brotherhood we have formed and having the best coaches we could ever ask for.”

After he graduates from Mangum HS, Repp plans to serve his country and join the United States Marine Corps.
