Frederick’s Courtney Tyler – Presented by Jackson County Memorial Hospital Women’s Clinic

Courtney Tyler is a mother of three, with two of her kids playing varsity golf for Frederick High School for her husband (their father), coach Bret Tyler. Zack Tyler is a senior and Zane Tyler is a sophomore.

“Having two sons both playing varsity golf is fun! They are both competitive, love the game of golf, so it’s fun to watch,” said Tyler.

Being there to help her sons and her husband is something Tyler said she enjoys doing. From packing snacks to checking on team members during the round, Tyler pitches in to help where she can.

“What I enjoy the most about helping the golf team is when I go, I pack snacks and drinks for them. They really don’t get breaks during tournaments, so I drive the cart around, check on our team members, and if they need a pick-me up snack or drink I have it for them,” said Tyler.

Tyler said she feels it’s important for people to be part of their kids’ activities and help out whenever they are allowed.

“I feel it’s important for parents to be involved in their kids’ sports because I believe it helps your kid succeed. Rather it be sitting cheering in the football stands, basketball stands, baseball outfield, golf course, and the list goes on. When your child sees their parents, grandparents in the stands, it gives them a sense of confidence and just love that you are there watching and supporting them. Also being involved with team meals, snack bags for trips, decorating, etc…they notice. Being a mom of three it gets hard trying to be at all my kids’ events at one time but thank goodness for family and friends that step in to help be there and support,” said Tyler.

Originally from Texas, the Tyler family loves being in Oklahoma and being part of the larger Frederick family.

“What we like about Frederick is they support my husband and family; they support with their whole heart. We have people here that loved all of us as soon as we moved here, and I couldn’t be happier that we are here raising our kids to be Bombers,” said Tyler.
