Coach: Jaicee Powers

21-22 Record: 14-9

Head coach Jaicee Powers is eager to get the season underway. After 14-wins last year, the Lady Bulldogs are poised for another solid season. “The 22-23 Lady Bulldogs will be athletic and will look to play fast. We have a nice mix of quick shooting guards, ball handlers that see the floor well, and dynamic post players. This team will be fun to watch on both ends of the floor. Defensively we will look to lock opponents down with our quickness, strength, and length,” said coach Powers. Kenley Lemons and Kaydence Smith are both returning players who will make big contributions this season. “Kenley is a natural point guard. She wants to run the show and she thrives at doing so, she sees the floor well and can get to the lane when she needs too. She’s a difference maker and will definitely be one to watch,” said coach Powers. “KK Is one of the most physically and mentally tough players I have ever had.

Most nights she will be the strongest guard on floor which makes her and extremely tough match up. Her leadership skills have evolved, and her shooting range has expanded.” Mia Curtis and Stephanie Millan are strong players that play key roles with the Lady Bulldogs. “Mia is 5-foot-8 strong sophomore versatile post player. She is best in the paint, but she can also play around the perimeter. With hard work, her game will continue to develop. She was Newcomer of the Year for Stephens County last year as a freshman, we are expecting big things out of Mia this season,” said coach Powers. “Stephanie (Boo) Millan is our senior post player. She averaged double digit rebounds last season and just has a natural knack and timing for grabbing rebounds. She is a super strong and tough kid that is able to defend players that are much taller. This season we are counting on her to step on her scoring game.” Other players to watch include Keira Pineda and Ava Boozer.
