Q&A with Elk City’s Cole Buie – Athlete Spotlight – Presented by Currell’s Do It Center

Elk City basketball player Cole Buie spoke to VYPE in a recent interview.


VYPE: What are your personal goals for the year?
My personal goals for the year is to be the best leader and teammate I can be on the court.


VYPE: What is the most fun you have had in the last year?
The most fun I’ve had in the last year was frontier camp with the basketball team.


VYPE: Who is your favorite teacher from any grade, and why?
My favorite teacher is Mrs. Snider, sophomore year.


VYPE: What is your favorite athletic memory?
My favorite athletic memory was beating Weatherford in football this year.


VYPE: What teammate has left the biggest impression on you and why?
Aiden Hopper, Austin Jones, and Cooper Patton have left the biggest impression on me as a
teammate. They took me in when I was a freshman and have helped me learn to live it up and
enjoy highschool.


VYPE: What is your favorite part of being on this team?
My favorite part of this team is we are all Shiesty and a brotherhood.

VYPE: You can pick any place for a summer vacation. Where do you go, and who do you
take with you?
If I can pick anywhere for vacation I want to go back to Mexico with all the boys.


VYPE: If we gave you $500 and you had to spend it in the next 24 hours, what would you
spend it on?
If you gave me $500 and I had to spend it in 24 hours, I would buy goose decoys.


VYPE: What Clubs or Campus groups are you involved with and why?
I am involved in FCA and FFA because I am a Christian and enjoy ag related activities. I am
also a member of NHS.
