Northwest Area Baseball And Soccer Players To Watch – Presented By Jenkins & Price Facility Solutions

BASEBALL

Aiden Faison – Alva

A very good three-sport athlete that has started on the baseball diamond since he was a sophomore. Aiden can play anywhere on the field and can also hit. He is expected to have a big season.

Kyler Thiessen – Calumet

Calumet’s best infielder and three-hole hitter, Kyler led the team in the fall in RBIs, hits, doubles, and WAR. Has an 83-85 mph fastball that also has command of three pitches that he will throw in any part of the count for strikes.

Bryson Hart – Chisholm

Bryson is a junior this year and he will be an anchor in the infield and one of the main arms on the mound. He has really worked hard over the summer and through the fall. He has been hitting the weight room consistently and putting on some good muscle and is ready to excel this season.

Jake Kennedy – Enid

Jake is a great leader that leads by example as well as by communication. He is also a very good student. He is committed to Cowley College.

Boden Miller – Fairview

Boden is a sophomore catcher and pitcher. He hit .380, hit one home run, and had 28 RBIs as a freshman. He was 5-3 on the mound with a 4.16 ERA and had 60 strikeouts in 37 innings pitched. Extremely accurate behind the plate.

Sebastian Gonzalez – Hennessey

He has worked his tail off to get where he is at today. He will be the ace on the mound and is expected to be one of the top pitchers and hitters.

Maddox Myers – Kremlin-Hillsdale

Myers has started for four years. He catches a majority of the innings and has been great on the mound since his freshman year. He is a solid dependable kid.

Reiley Luckie – Okeene

Reiley is a three-year starter who plays catcher. He is an incredibly dedicated, hard-working young man who always does everything 100 percent. He is a powerful hitter and a great role model for younger kids. He exemplifies hustle and is a perfect example of the type of work ethic to move a program going forward.

Bodie Boydstun – Oklahoma Bible Academy

Bodie is a four-year starter as the team’s top pitcher and also plays shortstop. He was 6-2 last year and is 16-5 throughout his varsity career. He also hits in the heart of the order and hit .475 last year with 56 RBIs. He will always fight to the last out and often finds a way to make something happen.

Kaden Manuel – Seiling

Kaden is the motor that keeps the team going. He is the guy to lean on with the game on the line. His teammates trust him and trust the leadership he brings on and off the field.

SOCCER

Raymond Gonzalez – Enid

Raymond is a four-year starter and is the catalyst of the back line. He is a very versatile player and pretty much can play anywhere on the field. His work ethic is second to none as his commitment to excellence has really propelled him both in the weight room and on the field. His soccer IQ always has him three steps ahead of the competition.

Meleah Meyer – Enid

Meleah is a player that you can rely on to develop relationships and connect with every player in the program. She is a great leader by example and because of her fantastic personality, her teammates look to her example. When times are good, she smiles; when times are hard, she smiles. You can rely on her to give everything she’s got to succeed in every game, training session, and in the classroom.

Lucas Shirkey – Woodward

Shirkey is a dynamic midfielder who offers the team a variety of options. He has been placed in every position on the field beside the net since his varsity debut as a freshman. Lucas is set to control the midfield this year with his field vision and leadership. He has all the technical abilities to beat a defender or make the pass that leads to a goal. Lucas has earned the role of leader with loyalty to his team. He wants to perform for his team and puts in the work to prepare for every obstacle.

Ava Long – Woodward

Ava is a key player on the Woodward team. She is a four-year starter and a leader on and off the field. She is a hard worker and never quits. She can play anywhere on the field but her strong suit is defense. Ava has been a great asset in helping Woodward make it to the state semifinals the past two years. She has signed with the University of Central Oklahoma to play soccer in the fall.
