Elk City’s Emily Lowrence – Athlete Spotlight – Presented by First National Bank & Trust Co.

Elk City High School senior Emily Lowrance is not only a member of the varsity softball
team, she’s also a member of National Honor Society, Student Council, FCA, and Honor
Choir. Lowrance said being a student-athlete at Elk City High is great thanks to the support
all the students receive.

“Elk City High School is a great place to be a student-athlete because of the support we get
from our classmates, teachers and coaches is unmatched. We always have full stands at our
games,” said Lowrance.
As a member of the softball team, Lowrance said she is looking forward to competing and
having a great year.
“Softball has always been my favorite sport, even going back to when I was four years old
playing t-ball. What I have enjoyed most about being on the softball team is the
relationships I have made through it. I’ve met some of my best friends through softball.
This season I’m most excited to see how far we get in the post season, while getting to play
the game I love with some of my favorite people,” said Lowrance.
The senior said there are several players on the team everyone should come out and watch.
“Definitely keep an eye on Aubrie Pogue, Ella Sottile, Kenedee Wyatt, and Jera Moler. What I
love most about this group is how well we work together and how we’re able to feed off
each other because of our positive team dynamic,” said Lowrance.
Lowrance said she will attend college next Fall but is still trying to determine what she
would like to study.
“My favorite subject in school is English. I’ve always loved being able to interact with kids,
so I’m considering Child Psychology,” said Lowrance.
