Football is more than just a game. It can also be a tool for student athletes to learn life
lessons. For Carson Price, the biggest lesson is definitely being a leader.
“I am passionate about football because I feel like we are a bunch of brothers,” says
Carson. Developing this kind of brotherhood while being able to live in “an amazing
community,” keeps him drawn to the game.
Now a senior at Elk City High School, Carson has improved his performance through
the years by listening to his coaches. “When the coaches tell you to not take a rep off,”
he says you do it. “I really think that has made a big impact on my performance.”
One standout memory for Carson is his junior year playing against Canadian, Tx.

While
down by one, ECHS went for a two point conversion and scored, winning the game.
It is however, time spent playing with a special former teammate that made the best
memories. “My big brother and I had the opportunity to be on the same field and he’s a
really good leader and gives it 110% every single play,” he said.
Carson looks up to pro offensive tackle, Trent Williams. “He plays the same position I do
and he also played for Oklahoma which is my favorite college football team.”
Carson wants to say a special thanks to his parents. “I’d like to give a shout-out to my
dad and mom for always being there for me and being my #1 fans and supporting me
through everything I do and always pushing me to be my best.”
Carson is also involved in FFA, FCA and plays golf. Through his many activities he
enjoys seeing the ECHS student body come together supporting each other.
