When it comes to representing Corn Bible Academy and his community, Cruze takes it seriously. Cruze stated, “I have a great sense of pride knowing I am representing my school and my community but also a great sense of responsibility knowing the younger kids in the stands are watching me and that they are looking up to me.”

In terms of a role model he looks to, Cruze stated, “I do not have a specific person that I am trying to be like but there are certain qualities in many of the people in my life that push me to become better. from current and past coaches, to current and past teammates, as well as family members.”

Asked what motivates him, Cruze stated, “I push myself because I want to be better tomorrow than I was today.”

In regards to what it has taken Cruze to become successful in sports, Cruze proclaimed, “I am willing to do the hard things, whether it is lifting weights, or pushing myself in practice, especially when I do not feel like it. I do not let pain stop me.”

Many memories are made during high school sports. Cruze accounts for what has stood out to him the most, “This year in basketball I started the season #9 or #10 man on the team, by game #2 I was in the starting 5. By the end of the season, I was the leading rebounder and #2 in scoring.”
