Hi, what are you looking for?

Clinton

Clinton’s Aracelie Chavez – Presented by S&D Drug

VYPE: What motivates you?

Aracelie Chavez: My family.

VYPE: Who are some of your biggest influences or role models? Why?

AC: Sonny Redshin and my mom. Sonny has always taught me to never give up and to keep trying even if nobody is watching. My mom has just always been my biggest supporter. Someone else that I look up to is my Uncle Alf. He’s someone that I can talk to about my sports and ask him questions about it. He has told me he’s proud of me and what I do. I am forever grateful for him. He has helped me when I did football and volleyball and now track. Everything I do, I know he’s right behind me, shouting for me. Anytime I see him, I’m always excited to tell him about my sports or he always asks how I’m doing or how it’s going. I can’t wait to make him and the rest of my family happy and excited to see me succeed.

VYPE: What has it taken to be successful in your sports?

AC: To never give up and always be you biggest competitor.

VYPE: What has been the highlight moment of your career?

AC: When I was a back-to-back Western Conference Champ and when I threw 30 feet my eighth-grade year.

VYPE: Which teammate do you enjoy working against the most with in practice? Why?

AC: Marley Gamboa. We both push each other and help one another get better.

VYPE: Who is the least appreciated player on your team? Why?

AC: Ethan Loftland; he is a very good thrower but doesn’t get recognized as much as he should.

VYPE: What clubs and campus activities are you involved with?

AC: Native American Club.

VYPE: What are your plans after high school?

AC: I want to definitely go as far as I can with my sports, but if anything, to become a real estate agent.

VYPE: What does it mean to you to represent your school and community when you play?

AC: I am apart of a great community. I want to go so far in my sport that people ask me where I came from and I can say Clinton Oklahoma, and maybe Clinton can grow.
