Top 100 Spotlight – Healdton Football’s Beau Bradberry – Presented by Pavers Inc.

Starting quarterback and free safety, Beau Bradberry is entering his final year of prep football with Healdton High School. Being part of this team and playing for head coach Taner Richardson and Joel Bradberry, his father is special for the senior. He also loves his teammates and the bonds they have built over the years.

“What I love most about my teammates is that we have a super great team chemistry, and everyone gets along,” said Bradberry. “The best thing about being a student at Healdton High School is we seem to get a little more freedom than some other schools. We get to be part of a lot of different things and help the community.”

Coming into the season, Bradberry said he has been impressed with several of his teammates and the work they are putting in to help the team win.

“The main players that have stood out to me in the off season are the twins Toby and Jerod. Their focus and work ethic is something everyone should want as their teammates,” said Bradberry.

A football player since the third grade, Bradberry also participates with the track and powerlifting teams. Playing quarterback and free safety is Bradberry’s comfort zone.

“What I like about playing QB as well as FS is that you’re kind of the like brain of the operation,” said Bradberry.

There are a few games on the schedule that Bradberry said stand out for him, but his focus is one game at a time. Before he takes the field, Bradberry said he has a go-to meal and after home games, the team is making plans to spend more time together.

“I usually just eat a sandwich before a game. I try to keep it light, and usually either eat whatever my mom makes me, or I go to sonic after a game,” said Bradberry. “Not much occurs after a home game. I just go to my friend Clay’s house. But this year we’re going to get some pride and celebrate with our team to really get that bond after a big home win.”

After graduating in 2023, Bradberry plans to head to the ocean before hitting the books in college.

“My plans after I graduate are to go live on the beach for a few months with Clay, before returning back and going to college somewhere. I haven’t really decided where yet,” said Bradberry.
