Lawton Area

Q&A with Lawton Eisenhower’s Raniya Cattina – Presented By Traci Green Properties

VYPE: Why are you passionate about soccer?

Raniya: It’s always going to be something I hold close to my heart because I grew up playing it and it was big in my family.

VYPE: What has soccer taught you that you use in your daily life?

Raniya: What my sport has taught me is hard work and dedication. I apply this to the soccer field and also to my studies.

VYPE: Which teammate has left the biggest impression on you and why?

Raniya: That’s a hard choice, but Rihanna because it was amazing to see her blossom not only as a performer but as a person also. She is very shy at first but once she feels comfortable, she is the sweetest person ever.

VYPE: When and how did you first get into playing your sport?

Raniya: I started to play soccer when I was 4. It means a lot to me because my mom played and my father played so it’s only right if I keep it going.

VYPE: What is your favorite part about being on a team?

Raniya: My favorite part about being on a team is getting to know different girls and learning from them

VYPE: Who is your favorite teacher from any grade and why?

Raniya: My favorite teacher is Mrs. Coffee from eighth grade because she just helped changed the way I viewed school.

VYPE: Who inspires you and why?

Raniya: My grandpa Alan inspires me because he was always a great example.

VYPE: Here is your chance to give a shoutout or say thank you to anyone you wish

Raniya: I would like to say thank you to Alan for pushing me and shaping me into the person I am today! Thank you to my aunt Brittany and Nana for holding me accountable and loving me unconditionally.

VYPE: You can pick any place for a summer vacation, where do you go and who do you take with you?

Raniya: My dream summer vacation would be somewhere tropical with clear water and the sun out. I would definitely take Yazmine, Cali, and Tali.
