Newcastle Racers Basketball Preview – Presented By First National Bank And Trust

BOYS
Coach: Jessie Brown
20-21 Record: 14-10

Under the leadership of head coach Jessie Brown, the Racers of Newcastle are looking to make a move into the upper echelon of Class 4A. “We will be bringing back a team that will feature three starters from the year before,” said coach Brown. “Looking to make a push for the state tournament.” Chase Sucharda (6-3, Jr.) averaged 19 points a game as a sophomore and is looking to assert himself as one of the top guards in Oklahoma. Sucharda knows how to get to the rim or shoot lights out from the perimeter. Teagun Jordan (6-0, Sr.) averaged 7.0 points and 2.0 steals a game last year. Jordan works hard on both ends of the court. Conner Seely (6-3, Sr.) went for 6.0 points and 4.0 rebounds a night last year. His production is crucial for the overall success of the team. Also look for Antonio Brown who can shoot and brings a high basketball IQ to the floor and Reed Davidson who coach Brown calls the hardest worker on the team. No one should be surprised if this team stays healthy and puts a run together at the end of the season.
