Coach: BRIAN ARCHER
8-3
OFFENSE
Postseason football has become a way of life for the Eagles, who are entering this season looking for their sixth consecutive trip to the playoffs. Head coach Brian Archer says that while they have some holes to fill, he is looking forward to this season. “We are returning most of our offensive and defensive linemen, but we
must replace many of our skill positions,” Archer said. “I am excited about our incoming freshmen. We will have a new quarterback this year so we will have a competitive battle for that spot.”
Anchoring the offensive line will be Gage Stegall (6-4, 325, Sr.), JR Plaza (6-0, 260,
Sr.), and Wyatt Gearhart (6-4, 340, Sr.). Running back Damion Casses (5-11, 195, Jr.) along with wide receivers Chris Carter (6-0, 175, Sr.) and Andrew Martinez (6-0, 175, Sr.) will look to be playmakers and get the ball to the end zone.
DEFENSE
The prowess of the defensive line will be a key for the Eagle’s defense this season. Stegall and Plaza will work to wreak havoc on opposing offenses and disrupt their plans. Christian Eakins (5-10, 200) and Casses will play linebackers and will try to keep their opponents from getting into the open field. In the secondary, defensive backs Dorian Rascon (6-0, 160) and Carter will be ready to shut down the passing game.
