VYPE: You’re pretty close to scoring 1,000 career points. What has that journey been like for you?
Jordyn Brown: It’s been a long and fun journey! I’ve just been putting in work to get to where I am now.
VYPE: You were part of a state semifinal team your sophomore year, but last year your team was just short of the state tournament. Are you pretty hungry to make it back to state this season?
JB: Yes, I’m hungry to make it. I feel like we have to focus more and play together as a team.
VYPE: What have you been doing this offseason to make that happen?
JB: I’ve been putting in extra work. After practice, I’ll go straight to the gym and get up shots.
VYPE: What other sports or activities are you part of? What else keeps you busy?
JB: I don’t play other sports but something that keeps me busy is watching movies and hanging with friends.
VYPE: Which teammate, past or present, has had the greatest impact on you?
JB: A teammate that had the greatest impact on me was my brother (Dion Brown). He worked hard with me everyday and he would challenge me all the time.
VYPE: What are your plans after high school?
JB: My plans after high school is to play college ball somewhere.
VYPE: What’s an underrated food spot in Ardmore we have to try?
