When you’re the “talk of the tailgate” in Lawton, you know you’ve accomplished something big. For MacArthur’s Alex Brice, being a hard-hitting linebacker and being consistent is as good as it gets.
A four-year player for the Highlanders, Brice is a 5-foot-10, 190-pound defensive specialist who loves playing for his team and living up to the expectations of those who came before him.
“What I love most about my team is they are like family,” Brice said. “I know they will always have my back.”
The senior said there are many things he loves about playing under the lights on Friday nights.
“I love the energy everyone brings to the game, for both teams,” Brice said. “When someone makes a big play, and everyone is going crazy. That’s what I love. The fans, the energy, the yelling, the victories and loses.”
Being a student-athlete at MacArthur is something special to Brice. It’s one of the reasons he is proud to represent the Highlanders on and off the field.
“It’s a very welcoming place with good education and sports programs,” said Brice.
After graduation, Brice plans to go to college and continue his playing career on the gridiron.
