When Marlow High School’s Brad McClure takes the course this season, he will be in his final year of prep golf. McClure has spent seven years playing the game and he is focused on making his last season at Marlow a memorable one.
“The goal for this season is to be state champions in Class 3A,” said McClure.
Golf is an individual sport, but each individual contributes to the overall success of the team. McClure said the team is looking good in early practices and they are looking forward to hitting the course.
“The team is coming along really well this year opposed to other years, we are looking forward to working hard and bringing home some medals,” said McClure. “What I love most about my teammates is the work ethic and competitive drive to get better and make each other better.”
As a student-athlete at MHS, McClure is a member of the FFA chapter and said Marlow is a great place thanks to the faculty and coaches.
“I enjoy being a student-athlete at Marlow high school cause of the teachers, coaches and community that surrounds us,” said McClure.
In the classroom, McClure said he enjoys all of his classes and teachers, but there is one subject he enjoys more than the others.
“My favorite subject is history and I have a lot of favorite teachers, the teachers are absolutely amazing at Marlow High School and want nothing but the best for the kids,” said McClure.
After graduation, McClure has decided to take a position with a well-known company and go to work full time. “I am going to work in the UPS business to become a UPS delivery driver,” said McClure.
In his free time McClure said he enjoys hunting and hanging out with his friends.
