Head coach – J.T. Cobble
2021: 4-6
An extremely young Duncan team gained a year of experience in 2021 and looks to be competitive for the foreseeable future. Quarterback Chris Kouts (6-1, 220, Jr.) took over on offense late in 2021 and showed he’s capable of directing the Demons’ attack for the full season. Head coach J.T. Cobble loves to press the tempo and has a pair of exceptional athletes in the slot positions. Bryson Brooksher (5-10, 160, Sr.) has made an impact on offense since stepping on the field as a freshman. Brooksher is one of a handful of Demons that excel in other sports. He’s a standout on the defending 5A state championship baseball team. The other slot is Eli Ramirez (5-9, 155, So.) who shined on special teams as a freshman with multiple returns for touchdowns. Ramirez is an All-American caliber wrestler and just as elusive on the gridiron. Preston Giles (5-11, 145, So.) is an outside receiver with above average speed and hands. The offensive line is bolstered by the return of Devon Lolar (6-1, 230, Sr.) and Kaden Cogburn (5-10, 210, Jr.). They are a perfect fit for the up-tempo offense. The Demons averaged 29 points a game in 2021. There is plenty of reason to believe that number will be going up in 2022.
