VYPE: What are your goals for this season and how are they going?
Tag: My goal for the season is to win an individual state title… the work to progress toward that goal is going fantastically.
VYPE: What is your most memorable sports memory?
Tag: My most memorable sports moment in my career was winning the mid America nationals tournament in Enid.
VYPE: Who is your favorite teacher from any grade and why?
Tag: My favorite teacher that I have had the privilege to learn from was my STEM teacher in junior high; Mrs Bennet, because she always pushed us to be better than we thought we were capable of.
VYPE: Who inspires you and why?
Tag: The person who inspires me the most is my dad. He has taught me how to work hard and embrace the sacrifices necessary to achieve a goal. None of my success is possible without him.
VYPE: What teammate has left the biggest impression on you and why?
Tag: The teammate that left the biggest impression on me is JP Martinez. JP showed me what it looks like to be a state champion through his mindset and the way he practiced every day.
VYPE: What is your favorite part about being on a team?
Tag: My favorite part about being on a team is how it teaches you to be a part of something larger than just yourself and your personal goals.
VYPE: You can pick any place for a summer vacation, where do you go and who do you take with you?
Tag: If I could pick anywhere to go on a summer vacation it would be to the lake with my family. Boating and all the activities that come with it are a big part of how my family has fun.
VYPE: What is your best advice to younger players?
Tag: My advice to young wrestlers is this; do what is difficult, do the things no one wants to do or is willing to, be wildly consistent in who you are and how you train, and never stop showing up. That is how you become great.
