Riyah Churchill is a senior at Anadarko High School. Cheerleading has taught her to
never give up. She answered a few questions to tell us a little more about herself and
her time cheering for AHS.
Q: What is your favorite part about being on a team?
A: I enjoy being around everyone on the team. It’s fun and I get to cheer my friends on.
Q: What is the best advice that anyone has given you?
A: Stay focused on your dreams.
Q: When and how did you first get into playing your sport?
A: I started doing cheer when I was about eight because my cousins played football.
Q: What is your favorite part about representing Anadarko High School as an athlete?
A: The little girls look up to us. When I see them doing our cheers it makes me happy.
Q: What has been your favorite memory of playing?
A: When our girls basketball team went to state.
Q: Which professional athlete do you look up to and why?
A: He’s not a cheerleader but I really admire Kobe Bryant’s mindset.
Q: Who inspires you and why?
A: My mom. Her determination to get things done inspires me to push myself. Thank
you to my mom and my dad for all the things y’all have done for me.
Q: You can pick any place for a summer vacation, where do you go and who do you
take with you?
A: Hawaii, I’d take my mom because she deserves a break.
Q: What is your all-time favorite meal?
A: I love sushi.
