DIBBLE DEMONS

Coach: RICHARD NORMAN

5-6

OFFENSE

Excitement levels around the Dibble football program are growing as head coach Richard Norman returns a nucleus of players with good experience and talent. “We’re excited about the upcoming season. We are returning several multi-year starters in key positions. We hope to push for a district title,” said Norman. Nine starters are back on offense, which is a great start for the Demons. VYPE Top 100 nominee Jag Norman (5-11, 195, Sr.) returns after rushing for 1,003 yards on 145 carries last year, scoring 11 times. Luckily Norman doesn’t shoulder the entire load on offense. Lane Lessor (5-7, 175, Sr.) recorded 18 receptions for 471 yards and five TDs a year ago. Lessor, alongside Austin Maddox (6-0, 170, Jr.) will look to stretch the field for the Demons, opening more opportunities for Norman in the run game. Maddox caught 17 passes for 215 yards and a score last season. Blake Creswell (5-7, 160, So.) threw for 787 yards and six TDs as a freshman and is looking to make a larger impact in this season. Running back Ed Perez (5-8, 165, Jr.) added 663 yards on the ground with five scores. The line is anchored by Chris Judd (6-3, 235, Jr.) who will lead the downhill running attack the Demons will implement this season.

DEFENSE

With eight starters back, the defense is looking a lot like the offense. Plenty of experience with guys who are hungry to play. Hudson Long (5-10, 225, Sr.) will be an important player at linebacker in the 4-3 gap control defense the Demons will run. Luke Blanchard (6-4, 210, Sr.) is an edge rusher with good length and a tough wingspan to throw around. Ezequil Lopez (5-11, 215, Sr.) will play opposite Blanchard at end giving the Demons two edge sealers outside the tackles. Newt Skipper (5-7, 135, Sr.) will start in the secondary and is someone who will help eliminate the big pass plays. Liam Howeth (5-10, 215, Sr.) is a finesse player on the defensive line and Rylin Oliver (6-2, 230, Jr.) will join Long at linebacker adding more run stopping ability to the group.
