In her final year of high school, Morgan Neese said being part of the varsity cheer squad and representing Chickasha High School has been a great experience.

“What I enjoy most are competing and football games, both are just indescribable feelings. The support you get from the school and community through you season is something that makes CHS a great place to be a student-athlete and something I had never experienced before coming here,” said Neese.
Growing up, Neese played multiple sports, but cheer has always been a sport she loves.

“I’ve played tons of sports, basketball, track, volleyball, softball, soccer, but I’ve been cheering since second grade. There’s something about the feeling of being on the sidelines on a Friday night that I just can’t shake,” said Neese.

As a student, Neese said the staff and teachers make CHS such a great place to be a student and an athlete.

“My favorite subject this year is yearbook with Mrs. Jantzen. My favorite person at the school is hands down Mrs. Raylee Butler, she is such a welcoming soul, is always there for you with open arms, and has 100 percent made my high school experience better,” said Neese.

Neese said she plans on attending college next fall.

“I plan to attend Cameron University’s Radiology program to become a Radiologic Technologist,” said Neese.
As for her team and teammates, Neese said she has loved being part of this team.

“My favorite moment this season was doing pump it up with the pom team during games, although it is bittersweet being in the center of the circle this year. Lakiria and KK, their encouragement and love for the sport could not be matched, their futures are so bright, and I cannot wait to see where they go. I love our encouragement towards each other, cheer didn’t only bring a team into my life, but a family,” said Neese.

As for the Class of 2024?

“I want us to be remembered for our school spirit and how big of a role we play in our community,” said Neese.
