Madison McDaniel’s parents encouraged her to be in sports her entire life. It was her freshman
year at Chickasha High School that she found her favorite sport; volleyball.
Now a senior, Madison’s favorite part of playing volleyball is making long term friendships and
winning games. “Volleyball has taught me to never give up and keep pushing,” she says.
Madison is passionate about her sport. “It teaches me life lessons and I have so much fun being
a part of a team,” she says recalling her favorite memories of “fun bus rides where everyone
laughs and sings songs.”
By representing her school as an athlete she has the power to positively influence people.
Madison herself is strongly influenced by people in her life.
“Teammate, Ryann Jones, taught me to never give up and how to work your way to the top. My
mom inspired me because she is the hardest worker I know. Mrs. Critchfield from 4th grade
because she was so inspiring and always pushed me to be my best. And finally, pro basketball
player, Steph Curry because of the amount of hard work and time he puts in,” Madison said.
The best advice she has ever been given is to always glorify God.
“I would like to give a shout out to my family for always pushing me to be my best and never
letting me quit anything!” says Madison.
Madison’s dream vacation is to visit the Greek island, Santorini with her mom and her all-time
favorite meal is a cheeseburger with some French fries.
In addition to playing volleyball she is a part of national honor society, volunteer club and also
plays on the CHS basketball team.
