Lorren Burrows
Chickasha Softball
Softball player and powerlifter Lorren Burrows is a sophomore at Chickasha High School
where she is also the manager for the wrestling team.
Burrows said softball has always been her favorite sport.
“Softball has always been my favorite. I started playing when I was four. I tried to play
basketball, but it was no comparison to my love for softball. Chickasha athletics is a great
program, the parents are always involved, and the coaching is amazing,” said Burrows.

For Burrows, the softball team is a lot like family.
“I love all the girls, they are like my sister. I’m really going to miss Lexi Jo next year, she’s
one of my best friends on the team. I am proud of Bayle Bingham for stepping up this year
for pitching she did amazing. I’m also very proud of Brooklyn Bingham, she encourages
everyone. Bayliegh Brown played through a horrible injury and then came back as soon as
she could walk normally, she is dedicated to her team and has so much heart,” said
Burrows.
Burrows said the team has worked hard this season and she is proud of their effort.
“I love that we all worked together we may not have all gotten along every day, but we
tried, and we worked together when it was necessary and every one of those girls had each
other’s backs. My favorite memory this year has been at the Perry Tournament. My
roommates where Arlynn Smith, Kloey Bingham, and Lexi Jo. We made coach Workman a
poster and bought her a candy bar and a soda and when we gave it to her, her face lit up
and she was so happy,” said Burrows.
As a member of the Class of 2026, Burrows said she wants to eventually become a
pediatrician.
