Chickasha Mom of the Month
Trisha Proulx
Former Cement High School graduate and now mother of three, Trisha Proulx, has been
named the Chickasha Mom of the Month.
Proulx is the current secretary and treasurer for the Spike Club, and she keeps the books at
the home games and during away tournaments for Chickasha High School’s volleyball team.
Proulx also handles the food purchases for tournaments and helps in planning the banquet
and senior night. Her daughter, Liberty, is a sophomore at Chickasha HS and a member of
the varsity team. Her two oldest kids, Ashton, and Corbin, have graduated from Chickasha
HS. Ashton attends Vo-Tech and participated in track, while Corbin graduated last year and
attends Vo-Tech as well.

For Proulx, being part of her kids’ activities was important.
“I feel that it is important for parents to be involved in their kids’ activities because it
shows their kids that they care for every aspect of their lives, not just what they can do for
the parents at home. With the society we live in today kids are looking for support and I
believe that as parents we need to be the ones to show our kids the support and love they
need so they don’t have to go find it elsewhere. Our kids grow up too fast and if you aren’t
involved in their lives then you will miss out because they will be grown before you know
it,” said Proulx.
Attending the volleyball games and having the ability to watch her daughter play is more
quality time she can spend with her before she’s off to college like her boys.
“I love to get to see my daughter grow as a volleyball player and the quality time I get to
spend with her. I also love the game of volleyball and played it in high school, so this gives
me a chance to volunteer and give back to a sport that I loved as a student. I enjoy getting to
know some of the other girls and watch them grow as players also. I enjoy helping and
giving back to my community,” said Proulx.
Away from sports and school, Proulx said her family enjoys being outdoors.
“My family likes to go on adventures together. They don’t have to be big adventures but just
spending time with each other hanging out, playing games, and enjoying each other. We
also enjoy serving the Lord together by helping out at our church events,” said Proulx.
