FFA Spotlight – Madill’s Reign Scasta – Presented by Oklahoma AgCredit

Madill High School’s Reign Scasta is a varsity football and baseball player for the Wildcats. Since the eighth grade, Scasta has been involved in FFA as well.

“I’ve always been around the barn and around the cattle,” said Scasta. “My dad, my family and my friends that were all in FFA and I have always wanted to be in it and enjoy those opportunities that organization provided.”

As a freshman, Scasta has made the most of every opportunity the FFA has to offer. From judging to showing, Scasta has enjoyed being part of the FFA chapter.

“I enjoy the contest that I’m involved in such as livestock judging and livestock showing, and the day-to-day spending time with my fellow peers,” said Scasta. “I show market steer and Heifers. I’m down to do anything to promote our chapter I show competitive livestock and I really enjoy livestock judging.”

Scasta said his parents have played a big role in his involvement with FFA and they push him to always do his best in anything he is involved in from sports to FFA.

“I think the person who has pushed me most is my parents and my Ag teachers push me to be the best I can and put forth new things in my life,” said Scasta.

The freshman said anyone curious about FFA should give it a try.

“My advice to future students that are considering FFA is that it’s not just for country kids. There are very many contests and things that could interest you,” said Scasta.

After high school, Scasta said he would like to attend college at Oklahoma State University and see where God takes him after college.
