Dickson’s Terry Arbuckle – FFA Spotlight – Presented By Oklahoma AgCredit

Terry Arbuckle is a sophomore at Dickson High School where he plays baseball for the Comets and head coach EJ Forsythe. Arbuckle said being part of the baseball team has been a great experience.

“What I love most about being on the baseball team are all of the cool experiences and friends that are like brothers. I also play football,” said Arbuckle. “They are all dedicated to the team and are hard workers.”

Another activity Arbuckle is proud to be part of is the local FFA chapter. Arbuckle said he joined the FFA when he was in middle school.

“I was first involved in FFA my eighth grade year. It was my dad who encouraged me to get into FFA,” said Arbuckle.

Showing animals is just one aspect of FFA Arbuckle enjoys. The sophomore said the people in FFA make it a great experience.

“What I love most about FFA is the knowledge, friends, and memories I have gained. I am on the livestock judging team, the meat judging team, and I show Boer goats,” said Arbuckle.

When asked what a student should do if they are interested in FFA, Arbuckle said they should join and have fun.

“FFA is great. All the friends, memories, and opportunities that you will make is awesome,” said Arbuckle.

Arbuckle plans to become an HVAC Technician or High-Voltage Lineman. He credits his parents for pushing him to do his best.
