Dickson’s Dajuan Williams – Presented by Excel Therapy

There is a tremendous amount of work that athletes invest in their sports so they can be at the top of their game when they compete. And while there are days that they may not feel like putting in the work, Dajuan Williams says that you have to push yourself to keep going.

“It takes a lot to be successful,” Williams said. “You have to be willing to give it your all at all times. I also try to be the best version of myself I can possibly be.”

Dajuan is a junior at Dickson High School. He is a member of the school’s football and baseball teams. Along with sports, he is also a member of the National Honor Society.

Throughout his life, there have been many people that have had an impact on Williams’ life. Out of all of them, there are a couple that stand out the most.

“The biggest role model in my life is my mom,” he said. “She always pushes me to be better. Another would be my favorite teacher, Mrs. Brown. She taught me to appreciate the little things.”

He has made a lot of memories on and off the field with his teammates over the years, but Dajuan says that he really enjoys the camaraderie.

“My favorite moments of playing sports have been being able to play with my friends in the sports that I love. Another thing I really enjoy is whenever we beat Madill. It is always great because they are our rivals.”

Williams’ teammates do a great job of helping him be prepared for when game time rolls around.

“I enjoy working against Cade Mckeown in practice,” he said. “He pushes me to be better. I think that Jakob Holbrook is one of the least appreciated guys on the team because he works a lot harder than most people.”
