Chase Warren is a senior at Davis High School and a three-year member of the FFA chapter at school. Warren said his friends from shop class encouraged him to join and he has loved being part of the program ever since.
“I enjoy all the great friends and family and the teachers and parents who make it a great enjoyable experience. Bunch of great memories that I will forever have to look back at,” said Warren about his time in FFA.
“I am involved in the shop mechanics class, and I have done meat judging in the past, and help out with any labor auctions and other things that go into the work of this program. I also do a lot of fixing things for the school from welding and putting back together playground toys and building tables, workspaces and benches for the school,” said Warren.
Warren raises cattle on his family farm but does not show them in FFA. He is involved in other activities at school including playing for the varsity football team for four years and being a member of the powerlifting team for the last two years. Warren said his parents have played a big role in his life.
“My parents (Kevin and Camille Warren) have been big influences in my life outside of school. We have raised cattle since I was a little kid and they have taught me the importance of working for what you have and that if you work for what you have good things will come to you. I would also like to thank my girlfriend (Abby Snyder), she has been there and gave me words of encouragement to go and do great things when I thought I couldn’t achieve them,” said Warren. “A special big thanks to my friends in FFA for inspiring me to join the program and be a part of something great! They are Connor Mohr, Alexis Barnes, Colin Dulaney, Logan Boley, and Jaysen Welty. And thanks to my Ag teacher Ashley Hoevker for always helping me and fellow students in and outside of school for any school function or activities we were involved in.”
This summer Warren plans to continue his education at Murray State College and work towards becoming a registered nurse with the hopes of one day becoming a nurse anesthetist.
“I also plan to continue to work on a ranch that I have worked on for four years now out by where I live in Hennepin, Oklahoma. I will tend to cattle and maintain the upkeep of a ranch. I will also be taking care of my own ranch, and the cattle that I have as well by hauling hay and helping the community as a volunteer firefighter at the Hennepin Fire Department. Along with spending time with friends and family and my girlfriend,” said Warren.
