Ardmore High School golfer Ramsey Ward says that there are a couple of people that have played a big role in his success.
“The biggest role model in my life is my dad, Joe,” Ramsey said. “The other would be my golf coach, coach [Zach] Birth. They both have helped me become the person that I am today. I would not be where I am without them.”
Ward, an Ardmore junior, also is a member of National Honor Society. Becoming the golfer that he is today has taken a lot of hard work and dedication. His goals require his undivided focus.
“It takes many long hours on the course to continually get better and grow my game,” he said. “Any time that I step out on the course, my goal is to beat my personal record. The highlight moment of my career so far would have to be when I shot a 71. It was great to see the hard work pay off with such a great score.”

“Ramsey is always outside either hunting, fishing, or playing golf,” he said. “He loves being outside, it does not matter if it is at the lake, the ranch, or the golf course. He is always on the go. He is undoubtedly the leader of our team and is respected by all his teammates.”
Ward loves to play the game of golf against whoever he is matched up against. But he says that there is one that he enjoys beating the most.
“I always enjoy getting the win against Alistair Ross,” he said. “He is my best friend and favorite competitor. We do a good job of making each other better.”
