Q&A with Altus’ Gracen Hawthorne – FFA Spotlight – Presented by Kerrick Hunter Oklahoma Farm Bureau

Altus FFA member Gracen Hawthorne spoke to VYPE in an interview.

VYPE: How many years have you been showing animals? 

Three years.

VYPE: What are your plans after graduation? 

Attend Oklahoma State University and Major In Agribusiness and Accounting.

VYPE: What accomplishment most proud of? 

Becoming the Altus FFA President.

VYPE: What is your favorite memory from showing animals? 

Walking through the fire during the Premium Sale.

VYPE: What has raising livestock taught you? 

Showing livestock has taught me to go all in and step out of my comfort zone.

VYPE: What advice would you give to younger showmen? 

Do not be afraid to try something new because growing is the best thing you can do.

VYPE: Any Special thanks/shoutouts? 

I would like to thank everyone who has helped me through these past few years. My Ag teachers, parents, and others have helped me tremendously. However, I would like to make a huge shoutout for my dad for continuing to support this project and always learning new things to help us
