Hollis’ Blair Skorepa – Presented by Cattlemens Bank

Blair Skorepa is a superstar at Hollis High School. She is a sophomore who participates in softball, basketball, cross country, track and cheer, and she dominates all five sports.

“I play second base and the reserve catcher in softball. I can play any position in basketball. I was in the top seven runners on the team and I qualified with my team to go to state in cross country, and I run the three hundred hurdles and the mile relay in track.”

She has grown to love all the sports she plays and enjoys many different aspects of them. What she most enjoys about them is being a part of a team.

“In all my sports I like to win, cheer my teammates on, and do the very best I can for my team.”

Choosing to pursue so many sports is a big decision, but Blair says that being from a small town made it an easy decision to become involved in athletics.

“I’m from a small town so everybody plays all the sports that way there can be enough for a team but through this, I have learned to love all the sports I play so I continue to play all of them even if there is enough for a team without me.”

Being involved in Hollis sports has allowed Blair to learn many valuable lessons throughout her athletic career. Being an athlete is not always easy, so Blair shared the biggest lesson she has learned along the way and offers some advice for others who are very involved in sports like her:

“It’s a lot of the same girls on every team so I have learned to play with them and succeed while also being able to play around and have fun. And I also learned that it is okay to make a mistake as long as you forget for the next play but work on it harder at the next practice and to learn from the mistakes you have made.”
