OFFENSE
The Frederick Bombers will have a new look this season. The team will be led by head coach Bret Tyler, who has been at Frederick for seven years. “We lost 19 Seniors last year,” Tyler shares, “so we will definitely have a new look. We return a few skill players. If our OL and DL develop, we should be competitive.” There are four returning starters on offense this season. Quarterback Zack Tyler (5-10, 175) is entering his senior season going 5-12 last season with 98 yards and two touchdowns. Senior Kolton Duncan (6-3, 265) will be blocking at offensive tackle. In the backfield are running backs Willie Cramer (6-1, 210, Jr.), who ended last season with an impressive 1,115 yards and 22 touchdowns, Talan Sheffield (5-10, 175, Jr.) with 205 yards and two touchdowns, and Kellan Hicks (5-9, 170, Sr.) with 23 carries for 148 yds, 28 receptions for 361 yds and four touchdowns. At fullback, Alex Mathews (5-10, 180, Sr.) had 42 carries for 245 yards.
DEFENSE
Alex Matthews and Kolton Duncan will be looked at to lead the defense this season. At defensive tackle, Duncan had 28 tackles and one sack last season. From the linebacker position, Matthews presented up an impressive 103 tackles and one interception last season. Also at linebacker is Devan Zheng (5-9, 175, Sr.) who totaled 44 tackles. Strong safety Kellan Hicks and free safety Zack Tyler have a combined 155 tackles and seven interceptions. Defensive end Willie Cramer had seven sacks and 55 tackles.
