Altus’ Tiffany Brilinski – Mom of the Month – Presented by Jackson County Memorial Hospital – Women’s Health Associates

By Payton Moody

Congratulations to Tiffany Brilinski, the Vype Mom of the Month spotlight for the Altus area! Brilinski’s deep commitment to the volleyball program and her passionate support for her daughter and her teammates have truly made her a standout parent in the Altus community.

As a devoted “sports mom,” Brilinski finds immense joy in watching her daughter, Michaela Woods, thrive on the volleyball court. “After seven years of watching her challenge herself and grow not only as an athlete but as a human being, has been everything my heart could want for her,” Brilinski said.

Brilinski’s inspiration to go above and beyond for the volleyball program is rooted in her genuine love for the girls and their potential. She believes they deserve the best support possible and recognizes the significance of their efforts in shaping the future of the program. “Our program is only five years old, and many of the upperclassmen have grown with this program—it is their shoulders that future teams will stand on,” Brilinski said. “The team and the coaching staff need as many resources as they can get their hands on, and they deserve everyone’s best effort.”

Her journey with the volleyball program began when her family moved to Altus from Colorado Springs. Her daughter’s involvement in the team brought Brilinski close to the program. “I am Active-Duty Air Force, and we moved to Altus from Colorado Springs, where my daughter had been playing school, recreational, and club ball,” she said. “We arrived in the middle of summer 2021 and were linked up with the head coach who encouraged Michaela to come and try out during team camp.”

Being an involved parent to Brilinski means cherishing every moment with her children. She values her role as a mother above all else and takes pride in being a strong presence in her daughter’s life.

Brilinski’s contributions to the volleyball program have been substantial. Her fundraising efforts raised $2350, which enabled the acquisition of critical equipment for the team’s practices. Additionally, she’s currently crafting personalized Bag Tags adorned with growth mindset affirmations for all team members, coaches, and managers.

Brilinski acknowledges the support of her best friend, Ambyr Burrows, and the Booster Club Moms—Amanda Davis, Mary Friese, Tiffany Adams, and Angela Halford—who have been by her side in this endeavor.
