Altus Mom of the Month

Parents across the country will attend sporting events this school year and cheer on their kids as they compete. But for a few, most of the game will be spent making sure everything is in place, running smoothly, and ready for the moment the players step off the field.
Tiffany Adams is one of those parents, volunteering to do whatever is needed to ensure the kids have what they need before and after the game.
“Any sport event that needs help for the kids I am willing to help with whatever is needed. Providing snacks, water. I love helping people. Especially kids that have a passion for sports. I feel like I’m helping them support their passion. It is so important to me,” said Adams.
Also a volunteer with the City of Altus Easter Egg Hunt, Adams said she will help recruit coupons from local businesses to stuff in the Easter Eggs.
With five kids (three still in school) it’s easy to understand why Adams felt the need to get involved.
“Noah plays basketball, Olivia plays volleyball and tennis, Mila plays softball and shoots archery, Steven (22) wrestled, and Jack (19) wrestled,” said Adams. “I believe that when the kids know they have a good support system it drives them to stay involved. With our kids in multiple sports, it takes a village to get them to where they need to go. I couldn’t do it without the help of my husband, family and friends.”
An Altus High School grad herself, Adams said Altus Public Schools is exactly where she wanted to raise her family.
“Altus has a wonderful support system with the community. I work for Altus AFB and talk to newcomers to Altus daily, they agree it is a great place to raise children. Altus community is always welcoming,” said Adams.
In their free time, Tiffany and her family enjoys spending time together and being outdoors. “We love fishing, swimming, laughing, and spending quality time with one another,” said Adams.
