Altus Girls Golf Showing Strides, Individual Success From Defending Champion Natalie Blonien, Through Early Season – Presented By Latham, Nelson, Martin & Duffy

Altus’ girls golf team is back in “full swing.”

“The Altus Lady Bulldogs are off and running,” head girls golf coach Randall Coffman said. “We are down in numbers but have a core group that has rallied and are working every day to better their game to help the team.”

The young team returns only one upperclassmen, junior Natalie Blonien. Luckily, Blonien, the state’s defending 5A champion, isn’t just any player. “This being [Blonien’s] junior year, she has picked up where she left off with individual early season tournament wins and is working to return to state to make an impact,” Coffman said.

The Lady Bulldogs return to action at Dornick Hills in Ardmore for the state preview on April 11.

The 5A regional tournament is scheduled for April 25th in Guthrie. Qualifiers will compete at the 5A state tournament May 3-4 at Dornick Hills.
