Altus Football Preview: Offense – Presented by Cattlemens Bank

Head coach – Dusty Davis

2021: 1-9

With five starters back on offense, the Bulldogs, now under the leadership of Dusty Davis, will look to build on that experience returning to the lineup. “We are looking forward to the upcoming season,” said coach Davis. “We have several players returning with experience and have some young players who will have to contribute this year. The players have worked hard throughout the offseason and spring practices, and we are excited to see what we can do come this fall.” Senior Tucker Taft (5-10, 165) is one of those players coming back. Taft is expected to start at running back alongside Erick Kirby (5-11, 175, Sr.). Kirby is another big back who can punish would-be tacklers. Also look for Nathan DeLosSantos (5-11, 150, Sr.) to contribute out of the backfield as well. Quarterback Garrett Gribble (5-11, 180, So.) is young, but talented. The power player upfront is Ajay Hughes (6-1, 240, So.). Hughes will lead an offensive line that looks to take things one game at a time while developing into a solid unit.
