Altus

9 Qs with Altus basketball player Dani Davis – Presented by Moco Supply

VYPE: What are your goals for this season and how are they going?

Dani: My goals for this season is definitely to make it far in the playoffs and step up my game this year on the court.

VYPE: What has your sport taught you that you use in your daily life?

Dani: Basketball has taught me hard work and determination. I use these on an everyday basis because you can’t just expect good things to come if you don’t put any work into things you want.

VYPE: Who is your favorite teacher from any grade and why?

Dani: My favorite teacher is Mr.  Dabelstein. He is always pushing everyone to their best and he never gives up on people no matter the situation. He’s truly been the most motivational person I’ve had since I’ve come to Altus.

VYPE: Who inspires you and why?

Dani: My parents inspire me the most because they work so hard for everything I have and without them I wouldn’t have anything. They truly are the best people in my life.

VYPE: What teammate has left the biggest impression on you and why?

Dani: Laykysia Johnson has left the biggest impression on me. She’s the most hard working player I’ve ever played with. She’s uplifting to team mates and I’ve always wanted to be her on the court.

VYPE: What is your favorite part about being on a team?

Dani: My favorite thing about being on a team is you never go through anything alone and have another family.

VYPE: You can pick any place for a summer vacation, where do you go and who do you take with you?

Dani: I would go to Hawaii and I would take my family.

VYPE: Why are you passionate about your sport?

Dani: I’m passionate about basketball because I get the opportunity to play a game I love and all the people that have come into my life because of basketball.

VYPE: Here is your chance to say hello, goodbye or thank you to anyone you wish.

Dani: I want to thank all of my coaches as they have been by my side since my freshman year till now and the opportunities they have given me on the court. They have truly been a blessing to me and it’s definitely been a good senior year for me thanks to them.
