Central Marlow High School Senior Andi Standridge is an exceptional softball player. Considered a veteran at the sport, Andi has been playing softball for 11 years. She plays both the positions of pitcher and outfielder. In addition to playing softball, Andi has also played basketball for 12 years.

When asked what motivates her, she stated, “The idea of competition motivates me; I do not like to lose, and am willing to push myself and my teammates to do our very best, all the time.”

In terms of what has made Andi successful, she proclaimed, “Showing up and working hard has helped me be successful. Reflecting on myself and seeing the areas where I need improvement then working on those areas has been the most helpful.”

Every athlete has a memory that stands out as a favorite during their sports career. Andi explained that moment. “Making it to the state tournament and hitting a home run at The Hall of Fame Stadium.” 

In terms of what it means for Andi to represent her school, she did not hesitate to answer. Andi stated, “I am proud to represent my school and community in all sports. I am thankful to have people that support me, specifically the younger girls, because I remember being one of them. Additionally, watching high school sports and looking forward to someday being out there leading my team.”

Besides playing softball and basketball, Andi is heavily involved with other activities at Central Marlow High School. She is a part of The Future Farmers of America, The Fellowship of Christian Athletes, is a Student Council Officer, and also is a Class Reporter.”

After graduating from high school, Andi plans on pursuing higher education. Andi stated, “After high school, I plan to continue my education in college, with the goal of becoming a physical therapist.”
