Blake Woods
Blanchard Football
In his final season of prep football, Blake Woods will wrap up years of competing on the gridiron with his friends.
“Football has always been a favorite of mine and will most likely continue to be. I did play baseball and basketball growing up, but I was never a big fan of those sports. The most enjoyable part of the football team is definitely having your friends around,” said Woods.
For Woods, there is no other school he would rather play for than the Lions.
“Blanchard high school is great because the programs built into the athletic program are made to push you and make you a better athlete. Athletes at Blanchard test ourselves both mentally and physically as well as bring the community together as a whole,” said Woods.
Woods is a member of SADD, Leadership, STUCO, National Honor Society and them Fellowship of Christian Athletes. His favorite subject in school is psychology.
“I find that branch of science very interesting. My favorite teacher is Mr. Roby he’s just a nice guy and brings smiles to everyone he can,” said Woods.
His plan is to attend college at Oklahoma State University to study architectural engineering.
Woods said his favorite moment this season came against Shawnee.
“My favorite moment this season is the Shawnee game. That was my best game so far.”
