Taryn Wraspir, a senior at Clinton High School, is known for her unwavering dedication to
volleyball. When asked about her proudest memory, she fondly shared, “A memory I am most
proud of are those moments when my team has truly been there for each other.”
Volleyball has taught Wraspir invaluable life lessons. “I think it has taught me not to be
stubborn when things aren’t going my way because it is out of my control,” Wraspir said.
“Volleyball has built my confidence on and off the court.”
Reflecting on her favorite teacher, Mrs. Arney, Wraspir shared, “She has taught me a lot, and
has been sincere and understanding. She has made me feel better about English because of her
support.” Mrs. Arney’s support has had a lasting impact on Wraspir’s academic journey.

When asked about her inspiration, she mentioned her stepdad, Daniel. “He is such a hard
worker and is always there for my family,” Wraspir said. “He always pushed me to be a good
person.”
Among her teammates, Emma Dowdell left the biggest impression. “She was so good about
brushing off mistakes, and was always positive about the next chance,” Wraspir said. “She was
always in a good mood and brought such good energy to the team.”
Wraspir is proud to represent her high school as a student-athlete. “The best part would be
playing for the people of the town,” Wraspir said. “I love getting to wear Clinton across my
shirt.”
Wraspir’s journey has not been limited to volleyball. She is also pursuing welding at Western
Technology Center. The best advice she has received is to always look forward, and never look
backward. She has continued to follow this advice on and off the court.
“I would like to say thank you to my teammates for always being there,” Wraspir said. “They
continuously push me to become better.”
