During her freshman year, Aubrey Coble made the decision to join the FFA chapter at
Chickasha High School. Now a junior, Coble is making the most of her time in FFA and other clubs and sports at school.
“Along with being on the Homesite Team my freshman year, I was on the land judging team my sophomore year. I have helped live livestream county shows and I was just selected as the 2023-2024 Reporter for or school chapter. I am also involved in softball, basketball as a manager for the girl’s team, FCA as a Junior Captain, and my church youth group as a member of the team worship team,” said Coble.
Coble said becoming a member of the FFA team was really by accident.
“I was put into an upper-level ag class with some of the juniors on the softball team who were very involved in FFA. My advisors, Mr. And Mrs. Schmidt, gave me every opportunity to get involved and at first, I wasn’t very interested, but those upperclassmen really encouraged me. I went to MFE (Made for Excellent), a leadership conference in the fall and in the spring, I was asked to be on homesite CDE team. Again, I wasn’t very interested but Allison Couch, Rylie Weber, and Clara Duncan who were all on the land judging team and encouraged me to give it a shot and once I did, they helped me out in any way they could,” said Coble.
As a member of the softball team, Coble said she is grateful to have the opportunity to compete with great teammates and coaches.
“The thing I love most about being in the softball program has to be my teammates and coaches. The environment we are given to learn and grow together not only as athletes but as people is amazing. My teammates are the ones that push me when I think I can’t go and further. They see when something is off and help me work through it in any way they can. I am so grateful for the relationships I have gained through the sport that I know will last a,lifetime,” said Coble.
Coble said her parents have been a huge influence in her life and she is starting to look ahead at life after high school.
“My mom and dad have been huge influences in my life. They have never let me quit at anything halfway through and that’s a lesson I am so grateful for. They are my biggest supporters in everything in my life. Most of all, they have shown me the love of God through their love towards me and in making sure I’m in church at any and every opportunity. There aren’t words to tell they just how thankful I am for them.
After I graduate next year I plan on attending Oklahoma State University to pursue a degree in sports medicine.”
