VYPE: What has your sport taught you that you use in your daily life?

Gizzel: To always stay disciplined.

VYPE: What does your team mean to you?

Gizzel: My team means always helping one another reach the goals we set. We will always push and motivate each-other. My team means a lot to me. They bring a different meaning to family. I love each and every one of them & I would love to watch them succeed in the future.

VYPE: Who inspires you and why?

Gizzel: Definitely my brother, Rafael. He has so much love for the game. He has always had a ball at his feet. His love for the game has always inspired me since I began to play soccer for the first time. I always wanted to be better than he was.

VYPE: What teammate has left the biggest impression on you and why?

Gizzel: Katelin Ramirez. She has so much passion for the sport it’s crazy. I wish her nothing but the best next year. I hope she always loves the game.

VYPE: What is your favorite part about being on a team? 

Gizzel: That despite our flaws and differences we always come together in the end.

VYPE: You can pick any place for a summer vacation, where do you go and who do you take with you?

Gizzel: I would definitely go to Brazil with Katelin Ramirez.

VYPE: What is the best advice you have ever received ?

Gizzel: That when things don’t go as planned in a match just to always play my game.

Gizzel: I would like to thank my parents for helping me come this far and always supporting my soccer career. I would like to thank my brothers for always pushing me to do better and always giving me advice. I would like the thank the coaches I have had along the way for always going above and beyond for me to succeed not only in soccer but in everything I do. Lastly my team, you made my time here worth every second. I hope I have made an impact on you as you all have done on me. Thank you for all the laughs in the locker room and all the dancing, I hope the bond between y’all always stays. Thank you for being the best team, I could not ask for a better team.
